Cernax and Packing

(T-minus 4 days) I received a message the other day from someone at Cernax. He came across my site, read about my plans for a trip around the world, and offered to sponsor my site. The package included a lot more webspace and bandwidth, all for free! We spent about an hour setting things up, and as of right now, Cernax is the official MwhY web host! What does this mean? With more webspace and more bandwidth, expect even MORE pictures in the future!

In other pre-departure news, I've started packing my backpack for real. Previously, packing consisted of looking around the house, thinking, "Oh, I might need that," then moving on hoping I'll remember it later. Today, I took my mental list and started locating the various items. I created my own first aid kit, with bandaids, medication, disinfectants, etc. I packed toiletries in a plastic zip lock bag. Outlet adapter and battery rechargers went in a different zip lock bag. Photocopies of credit cards and passport went into a folder, actual credit cards and passport went in my money belt.

Clothes and electronics packing (such as this laptop I'm working from) remains to be done. A more complete list of what I'm bringing will follow shortly!

I've also noticed I was requiring email address for people to comment. I myself dislike having my email address floating around on web pages. I've decided to turn off that 'feature' for now. And I've gone back through previous posts and removed all email links. Providing an email address is now completely optional. If comment spam from web crawling bots become a problem in the future however, I may have to turn it back on.

Thanks to everyone for their support and comments! Knowing people are reading keeps me motivated to continue the updates!
