Rained out
(Day 204) The night before, rain started falling, and I told myself that if it continued today, I wouldn't leave the hostel. I could use some time to catch my breath and do a little planning. Peer into the crystal ball, and see where Mark will be in the future, you might say. So when I woke and heard the downpour outside, I kept my promise to myself and put away my camera. A rest day it is.
The deck was stacked against me going out anyways. I had conveniently forgotten to set my alarm, not getting up until nearly lunchtime. For much of the afternoon, I studied timetables and points of interest, trying to fit in as much as my 30 day visa would allow. A day here, another there, a couple more there, and so on. I kept in mind what I've told myself all along, You can't see everything, but hey, at least I can try right?
At the end of the day though, my itinerary was no more set than when I woke up. Rather than having nothing to show for my time, I set myself to work on my blog, primarily the long neglected photos page. A cafe down the street offered wireless at a reasonable rate, so that's where ate dinner, watching the storm finally peter out. Satisfied I had made the most of a rainy day, I crawled back into bed and hoped for blue skies tomorrow. Bad weather is an inevitable part of any trip, and I'm prepared to deal with it. As long as it doesn't happen too often.
Thanks to everyone for their support and comments! Knowing people are reading keeps me motivated to continue the updates!

Hey, it's me again. You probably don't remember. I enjoy living my dull life vicariously through you. You have done what I wanted in life. The pictures of Vietnam, China, and Beijing are wonderful. I wish I was there. Please take me pics. Oh by the way, If i didn't mention before, I'm Lina Liu's friend. If you ever do a trip in the near future, let me know. I think I'll join in on the fun. Continue on the trip. I like to see more pictures and read more stories.
